Pop-Up Buoy Kits
Mooring Systems, Inc. manufactures pop-up buoy kits for Teledyne Benthos 875 and R500 acoustic releases. Mooring Systems originally designed the 875-PUB for Benthos in the 1990s making this system the longest in production than any other product on the market.
The newer R500 acoustic release uses identical mechanical parts allowing immediate compatibility. Upgrades include the ellipsoid shaped syntactic float and a robust canister molded from a durable urethane.
Custom pop-up buoy assemblies are available for deeper water or larger rope diameters. Our vast experience with mooring ropes provides a high level of customization for all recovery applications. We also now offer this kit compatible with the EdgeTech PORT SD release.
A bracket assembly is available for attachment of the rope canister to our tri-pod which includes a lead compensation ballast. The bracket allows fixed mounting of the R500 assembly or gimbaled to compensate for a sloped seabed.
